In my past life I traveled extensively. Every week it was hopping on and off airplanes. I will never forget the advice from a dear friend and mentor of mine, Sandy Smith of Sandy Smith Seminars. He said that in life we need to always remember the advice of our airlines: "Put your oxygen mask on FIRST and then assist those around you" This is such simple advise but how often we forget. Our lives become so crazy and hectic that sometimes I believe we even forget to take deep breaths. Holly Pollock of Epona Rivers taught me to stop and take 5 good deep breaths ever chance I could...sounds easy, right? I still have to remind myself. When we take care of ourselves it gives us so much more energy and passion to help others.
I believe one of the special gifts we as outdoor people have is the good medicine of nature. The silence and serenity of just sitting in a tree stand is the most healing medicine on earth. Thank you Mother Nature.
AHHHH I just took a deep breath thinking about being in the woods!
